Shipping Schedule:
Trohet R kits are shipped out twice a year.
Orders placed before May will be shipped 10 June 2025.
Orders placed between June and November will be shipped 10 December 2025.
The Trohet R kit includes.
Components
- 2 x Scan Speak 15W/8530 woofers - matching pairs
- 2 x Scan Speak R2904 - matching pairs
- All components to build 2 x crossovers - 16 high quality film capacitors, 14 wire wound air core inductors and 12 x 10 watt resistors
- 4 x MDF Circuit boards and printed circuit diagrams
- 16 x Oxygen free speaker cables
- 8 x gold plated speaker terminals
- 2 x ports cut to the correct length with acoustic damping mat provided pre installed.
- 22 x Hex head screws
- Polyester acoustic damping material
Tools (Optional)
- 40-watt solder iron
- Solder iron holder
- Solder
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Wood glue
- 4 x Heavy duty ratchet straps
- 3mm Allen key
- Sandpaper (80 grit - 240 grit)
- Cork sanding block.
Cabinet material (Optional)
- Pre-machined timber cabinet material (Alder, Mahogany, Oak or Birch options). Each flat pack comes with a left and right oriented front panel for the offset tweeter.
- If you don't need cabinet flat pack please select "No cabinet material".
- Note: Should you choose No cabinet material option and build your own cabinets from scratch, then you will receive detailed drawings. You will need a table saw and router at a minimum, and need to be well versed in using the tools.
Instructions
The provided video series walks you each step of building the Trohet R speakers. Please note that the video series does not include the building of crossovers; for this step you can follow the schematics and block plans.

The kit does not include varnish due to air freight restrictions on combustible liquids. Wipe-on polyurethane can be purchased at your local hardware store for the price of 4 cups of hipster coffee.
